Dancer Stephanie Moseley began her journey as an artist almost as soon as she could walk, donning her first pair of ballet shoes for dance class when she was just two years old. Raised by a single mother in Vancouver, Canada, Moseley had singular focus, even as a child. She would practice her craft at a number of institutions, such as Pacific Dance Arts, Kirkwood Academy of Performing Arts, and Danzmode, before completing her studies and beginning her professional career, winning a coveted spot dancing in the Encore Performances at Disneyworld in Edo, Japan. When Moseley returned to North America in 2004, she relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her career, and things picked up for the young dancer very quickly. She joined pop star Britney Spears as a backup dancer for her 2005 U.S. tour, and made her television debut the next year, appearing in Jamie Foxx's special, "Jamie Foxx: Unpredictable" (NBC, 2006). Over the coming years, Moseley would act as a backup dancer for the likes of Usher, Rihanna, and Janet Jackson, in addition to making on-screen appearances as a dancer in movies like "Mirror, Mirror" (2012) and on dance-centric TV shows like "Hellcats" (CW, 2010-) and "Hit the Floor" (VH1, 2013-), which required Moseley to act as well. Tragically, Moseley's life and career was cut short on December 8, 2014, when her husband, rapper Earl Hayes, shot and killed her before taking his own life. She was 30 years old.
