Trinidad Cardona

Born May 23, 1999, singer Trinidad Carbona first rocketed to fame on the strength of a viral hit, "Jennifer." Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, Cardona was a high school student when he first came to national attention. He was kidding around with a friend in the school bathroom one day in 2017, and the friend started to record him. Cardona decided to freestyle, and sang what would become the chorus to his first major hit, "Jennifer." Cardona and the friend uploaded the clip to social media, and that was when everything started to happen. The song went viral, eventually racking up over 7 million views on Facebook, and over 18 million views on YouTube. Following this, Cardona released his first EP, also titled "Jennifer." Other songs from the EP included "Dinero" and "You Are Mine." In January 2018, Cardona signed with Island Records. Island planned to re-release "Dinero" as his first official studio single, and Cardona embarked on his first tour, performing alongside Alex Aiono. A young man who had already discovered his own style and his own voice, Cardona was clearly poised for a bright future.
