Undistinguished in its general shape and actively flimsy in its particulars.
I was more taken down by the, at best, second-rate serviceable story than I was uplifted with Hepburn's bravo performance.
Morning Glory is a great story with Hollywood glamour and exceptional performances.
it is a lousy movie and Hepburn's performance, after some strikingly enigmatic opening moments, is embarrassingly bad.
Hepburn won the first of her four Oscars for playing a brash, aspiring actress from Vermont determined to succeed at all costs, just like she was in real life at the time.
Antique Hepburn vehicle that holds up only moderately.
Dated, but still fun to see a young Hepburn
Hepburn makes the most of poor material to deliver an Oscar winning performance. Unfortunately it only brings up the picture to the barely tolerable.
Super Reviewer
Hepburn is a great actress, and the only reason to watch this movie is to see her performance, since there's no real plot to speak of.
Enjoyable for Katherine Hepburn's performance but dated and a little too simple.
creaks with time but Kate is luminous.
