An orphan in a facility run by the mean Miss Hannigan, Annie believes that her parents left her there by mistake. When a rich man named Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks decides to let an orphan live at his home to promote his image, Annie is selected. While Annie gets accustomed to living in Warbucks' mansion, she still longs to meet her parents. So Warbucks announces a search for them and a reward, which brings out many frauds.

A kid with Annie's moxie deserves more. Or perhaps less. What she deserves is an atmosphere of innocence, warmth and inventiveness, to let the film generate the joy that must have enveloped theater audiences over the past five years.

Aileen Quinn is a delightful Annie, with good feet, an infectious smile, and a perfectly pitched voice. It's not her fault she is used mainly as a performing prop, as is the spectacularly graceful Ann Reinking, playing Warbucks' secretary.

Producer Ray Stark and director John Huston have relied more on the rigid style of the comic strip than on the high-steppin' pizazz' of the Broadway show. They've transformed a big-hearted hit that won seven Tonys into a small-minded musical.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

This is good. I need to watch it again. I watched it a lot as a kid. Probably my favorite movie back then. Surprised it's lower than an 8 on here and IMDB. I watched the Disney version too but I remember nothing about that one. Except the New York song or whatever I guess.

Great because of the Hard knock life song it is very catchy and Miss Hannigan is so mean and cruel and Rooster Miss Hannigan’s brother tries to kill Annie during the climax of Annie climbing the drawbridge and Rooster chasing him and there’s other great songs like Sandy, Maybe and Tomorrow, Little girls, Easy street and the actor Carol Burnett the one who plays Miss Hannigan is so funny she is a very good actor and so is Tim Curry who played Rooster and Alieen Quinn plays Annie is a very good singer. Great movie 9/10

I haven’t seen this since I was a kid so I wanted to give it a nostalgia rewatch. There were some funny and good parts and good performances, however there were a lot of inaccuracies for the time period that were put in for the sake of entertainment. Overall, it’s a decent and well-made musical though!
