Anjum K 09/28/2020 Awaara 1951 is probably the finest Indian drama movie of all time; I rate it no less than Citizen Kane for its story telling plus it has a-one cinematography. See more 03/20/2014 Kapoor's magnificient direction and style gives Awaara an authentic taste of Indian society and melodrama. Strong script yet poorly executed. See more 12/02/2009 Extremely compelling. See more 10/26/2009 more than a half-century, still great. this is what defines a classic. See more 07/28/2008 Seriously, why is Shamez making me watch these old movies? See more 07/21/2008 Very melodramatic...and boring. There are much better Bollywood films that have been created. I'm not sure why this was so popular when it was released. It's interesting that the story is based on an Indian myth, but that's about the only thing interesting in the film.
