04/18/2019 The subject matter is great and entertaining but the actual documentary is below average bc it comes across as though Pam and her attorney made it. It glosses over the facts that appear to show her guilt and focuses very heavily on interviews with Pam now after the fact. She has an answer for everything which I'm afraid is very very to do when you've had 20 years to focus solely on that. Is her penalty harsh? Yes. But is she guilty of her crime? I'm pretty sure that answer is yes too. It all comes down to the simple fact that if she hadn't been molesting the minor, then none of this would have happened and Greg would still be alive today. So because of her decision and her subsequent actions, her husband ended up dead. Spin it and explain it however you want, that fact is undeniable. What was really interesting was the juror who taped herself thinking out loud after every day in the trial. But again it's so incredibly biased bc they only played a few excerpts from a few hand picked dates... and what a coincidence, those excepts ALL portray Pam as an angel and the boys as demons from hell. So it becomes a bit hard to form complete and accurate conclusions when everything presented is so obviously biased. See more 03/19/2017 Never tells the story of the murder at all, just about the media influence on the story. Kept waiting for the murder story, was mad disappointed. And they try to be so artistic with their shots and I hate it. Don't watch. See more 05/14/2016 Good footage, lots of opinions and views. See more 02/06/2016 Well done. Really like how they showed archive footage via old TVs, etc... See more 04/27/2015 Even if a little tired and tried, #captivated uses cinematic techniques to shed a new perspective on what seemed like an open-and-shut case. See more 03/02/2015 Everything starts with the murder of a man, but what everyone cares about is getting a chance to tell the story in front of the camera. "Captivated" is particularly effective (and amusing) when it lets the old protagonists speak. See more Read all reviews
