As more star systems get swept into the Clone Wars, the valiant Jedi knights struggle to maintain order. Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan learner Ahsoka Tano embark on a mission that brings them face-to-face with Jabba the Hutt. Plotting against them is evil Count Dooku and his agent, Asajj Ventress, who would ensure that the Jedi fail. Meanwhile, Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi lead the clone army against the forces of the Dark Side.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) is one of the most forgettable entries in the franchise outside the Fox-era releases. Instead of feeling like a proper theatrical film, it plays more like a stretched-out TV pilot stitched together for the big screen. The pacing is uneven, the stakes feel strangely low, and the story doesn’t carry much weight despite the setting. While Anakin and Obi-Wan have moments of familiar banter, it quickly becomes repetitive, and the overall narrative lacks energy or urgency. Even the introduction of Ahsoka Tano doesn’t land as strongly as it should in this format. Visually it’s serviceable, but not enough to make up for the thin plotting and lack of cinematic impact. By the end, it fades from memory almost immediately after watching. I rate it a 3/10.
