Christine Brown has a loving boyfriend and a good job at a Los Angeles bank. Her heavenly life becomes hellish when, in an effort to impress her boss, she denies an old woman's request for an extension on her home loan. In retaliation, the crone places a curse on Christine, threatening her soul with eternal damnation. Christine seeks a psychic's help to break the curse, but the price to save her soul may be more than she can pay.

When violence appears in Raimi's Drag Me to Hell, it's not meant to be real, often it's hilarious, and what Raimi tries to show is what is going on in the mind of his principal character.

At what point does gleeful cynicism become so gleeful that it ceases to function as cynicism at all, and mutates into a blatant formalist trope of little emotional or intellectual resonance, but plenty of aesthetic...what's the word? Bliss?

Christine is a selfish, horrible person. She gets what she deserves. There are some nice Raimi touches here and there, but it's impossible to enjoy a movie when the main character isn't likable or interesting in any way.

How does this movie have a 92% rating?!?! The acting "performances" if you can call them that from the two leads are distractingly bad. Not even the end could save this movie, I'd never watch this again.

I watched this when it came out first and I didn’t appreciate the humour and funny scenes. Now almost seventeen years later I watched it had a much better understanding of the film. Its horror is so grotesque but in a hilarious way.

Muy buena película de terror realmente para su época no esta nada mal no tiene tantos jumpscares como las recientes pero lo bueno de esta película es la primicia de ver como se llama el demonio y como lo pueden vencer tiene muchos plot twist esta película sinceramente el final no me gusto pero eso es lo que la vuelve diferente.
