See more 11/26/2021 With almost ahome-made movie, legendary filmmaker Werner Herzog returns with this, an exploration of human connections, deffending its place as one of the best films of the year and, also, as the best fiction movie Herzog has done in a too long time. That Werner Hertzog does not speak Japanese is just one, yet he has managed to pull off something practically impossible and make it look easy, unlabored, and beautiful. It is an innovative and creative masterpiece. Japan is forced to stand on the leading edge of technology in order to solve challenges of high population and lack of natural resources, and the rest of the world must soon follow. I recommend it highly to anyone who knows and appreciates Japan, and to anyone else looking to understand the relationship between technology, human identity, and connection.
