Elijah B @RT82828410 4 days ago Halloweentown with the (chocolate) gore of Evil Dead. Directors Marcus Mallard and Logan Walcher really go above and beyond to deliver the scares, and Christy Tate gives her all as the youth-desiring witch. See more Kellan P @BlackCatRago 5 days ago Hansel & Gretel's Halloween puts a fresh spin on a familiar fairy tale, delivering a visually striking and surprisingly fun Halloween adventure. The film is easily at its best from a visual standpoint. The cinematography, lighting, and set design create a wonderfully atmospheric world and give the movie a polished look that punches above its weight. The performances are solid across the board, but Alexia Berry steals the show as Gretel. She brings an impressive amount of energy and presence to the role, proving to be an absolute powerhouse and a performer with a very bright future ahead of her. While it may not reinvent the genre, Hansel & Gretel's Halloween is a charming, entertaining flick that makes for an easy recommendation when you're looking for some family-friendly Halloween fun. See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 6 days ago Hansel and Gretel’s Halloween is a film I really wanted to enjoy, but unfortunately, it didn’t deliver. I expected it to at least be somewhat fun, especially with the Hansel and Gretel concept, but instead it felt like another typical teen horror movie centered around a Halloween party that quickly turns into a disaster. I thought there would be more creativity behind the story. With the witch, the candy, and the familiar Hansel and Gretel elements, there was plenty of opportunity to build something creepy and entertaining. Unfortunately, those elements never came together in a way that made the movie feel exciting or memorable. The possession angle and some of the stranger moments felt awkward and underdeveloped. I kept waiting for the story to find its direction, but instead it felt like everything was simply pushing you forward without giving you much reason to stay invested. Overall, Hansel and Gretel’s Halloween was a major disappointment. See more Patrick F @RT10276850 Sep 6, 2026 Hansel and Gretel's Halloween is a fun little horror movie that bypasses all the hardcore gore trend of current horror films to bring a fun film for a wider audience. You can tell a lot of heart went into making it. Christy Tate did a great job being with the witch character, and the two teen characters show some real promise. The visuals were great throughout, with some standout VFX for a low budget film. Additionally the score held a great tone for the entire film. Definitely worth throwing on when you've got a few friends over. I look forward to see what comes next from this team. See more Louis J @darkandscary Sep 3, 2026 Overall, this is a great scary movie that is good for families! It brings in the look of a horror film that we would see for adults, but the story is very much kid appropriate. It's a great film for regular Halloween screenings, and I know that I will make it a regular viewing for my family. The young actors gave great performances, and the look of the film is fantastic! The production design is flawless, and the effects have a great mix of visual effects and practical effects. Being from Oklahoma, it's even cooler knowing that this film was made right in my back yard! See more Harleigh R @harleigh00 Sep 3, 2026 this movie was so funny!!! See more Read all reviews
