The most disgusting movie I have ever watched. I could not finish it! Horrible!
I just submitted reviews for Martyrs and Irreversible, and used this film as a comparative marker to describe "what's nasty, and what's not". Thought I better come back to this film and review, as it is the marker I used. ("What is worse than this film?") Not much.
Most folks would throw up watching this film. It is pretty damned disgusting. Having just watched Martyrs and Irreversible, which both have a theme at least, this film does resonate as extremely disgusting. If you want to watch it to " cross it off your list", go right ahead. Just be aware,i it will leave some nasty images in your mind.cUgh. Been there, done it. so watch with caution. - beware! You were warned! :-)
If I could possibly rate lower, I would. The first and only time a movie made me sick to my stomach without even the plot to justify it. A sick mind and horrible decision making made this movie possible. Time I will never get back.
Although this movie is insanely inhumane, it is a very well made movie with very many thrills and very deep (almost vomit worthy) chills
3/5. The gross-out stuff is surprisingly restrained, but could have been more subdued to make the film better. Dieter Laser is fantastic and there are some genuinely interesting aspects and scenes in the film, but parts of this movie don't work at all.
The Human Centipede is everything you wouldn't want to dream about. I first heard of this movie when I was in high school, and I was always curious to see the results but never really got to it until now. The only thing this film really offer is a disturbing and sickening concept that will attract the curious one. From the start you know you didn't watch the movie of the year, the acting is bad, the dialogues are something you would see in a school play, and they're not a lot of action. But you don't really care because you want to see what you were promised, the human centipede, right? Yes, it was grotesque, but I was expecting something way more extreme, and I am glad that they didn't go too far with it. To conclude, I think this movie is boring, but still worth a watch for its concept and audacity.
This film actually gave me nightmares. I guess as a horror film it totally delivered. I did wonder if this film went too far on the shock effects. At points I did find it disgusting and vile, not for the faint hearted.
A definite surprise, this movie takes an eerie thought of connecting the human race and takes it literally, bringing it to a morbid reality. The ending drops off at a horrifying situation, where sometimes dead is better compared to the monstrosities humans can afflict on each other for the name of science and inane curiosity.
It's kinda stupid
While this film is definitely torture porn schlock, it is at least entertaining in that regard, but ultimately falls victim to flimsy writing and trying too hard to shock the viewer to the point where they are desensitized.
