See more Eric P @RT06161622 08/19/2022 When we were all teenagers at one point, we used to prank call random people just for laughs. In the film I Saw What You Did, it shows the worst case scenario of prank calling strangers and the consequences one might face. While William Castle's film did give me some thrills, I was not a fan of this film. One scene had the film's antagonist attack a woman in a shower that one could argue that this film ripped off elements from the iconic Alfred Hitchcock film Psycho. Speaking of the shower scene, the editing by Edwin H. Bryant was shoddy because in some parts, the woman's hair was wet then dry then wet again. The sound at times were loud and annoying. The screenplay by William P. McGivern was also pretty bad because he had every single main character in the film making pathetic, idiotic, and questionable decision throughout the film. But what really struck me the most for I Saw What You Did was the music. Simply because in the end of the movie that is supposed a thriller, played upbeat funky music that doesn't fit with the film's atmosphere at all. I Saw What You Did had potential to be a decent movie but instead it turned out to be ghastly. The final result is not terrible, but I think it was rather dull in parts and other parts were rather implausible. The cast is not too bad. The actors do a decent job. The late Joan Crawford is, to nobody's surprise, the best thing about the movie despite having a very short part. The story of a prank call gone wrong could have worked better. While I watching I kept asking how Steve Marak (Played by the late John Ireland.) thought the prank call was somebody saying they witnessed him murder his wife considering where the crime took place. When he learned who made the call and learned where they live, he should have realized that the call was just a prank. Also, once he came to realize that when he confronted Libby (Played by Andi Garrett), why didn't he just leave. There was no reason why he would stay. Also he did not hear Kit's (Played by Sara Lane) side of the call so he could not have known what they were talking about. There are some good things to say however, the climax is well done and plausible. A fitting end to the events of the film. Overall, "I Saw What You Did" is not a terrible movie. I would say it's good. Still, it could have been better. See more 07/11/2021 I thought it was a good movie. A lot of the reviews said bad acting. I didn't think so. I will say I thought the music they used at the beginning and the end didn't make any sense. It definitely didn't match the theme of the movie. So in that sense I will agree with the other reviewers.
