The beautiful but treacherous mountains of Mongolia are the backdrop for this documentary about a man from Kazakhstan who is determined to learn the art of bird training. The grandson of a locally renowned eagle trainer, Kuma travels to a Mongolian village, where he becomes the sole student in a rigorous program devised by an aging avian guru. Stunning footage of airborne eagles and solitary men climbing snow-covered hills backgrounds this touching story of familial ritual.
