Chris S @Janomi 1d Maze Runner: The Death Cure delivers a satisfying conclusion by staying focused on the friendships that carried the series from the beginning. While the story grows larger in scale, it never loses sight of the loyalty, sacrifice, and difficult choices facing Thomas and the rest of the Gladers. Dylan O'Brien once again anchors the film, with Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Ki Hong Lee continuing to provide much of the trilogy's emotional heart. The assault on the Last City delivers the biggest action sequences of the series. Wes Ball handles the large-scale spectacle well while still allowing the major character arcs to reach meaningful conclusions. At over two hours, though, the film feels longer than necessary. The intimate mystery and survival elements that made the original so compelling are largely replaced by action and rebellion, and a few emotional moments could have benefited from more development. With this movie, the story was incredibly captivating, with so many twists and turns that I was glued to the screen for the entire time. The Maze Runner series is, without a doubt, my favorite entry into the teen-dystopia genre. While it may seem the "maze" has lost its maze so to speak, it holds true to the original with surprises around every corner. Thomas, (Dylan O'Brien) is amazing once again captavating the audience with true emotional variance and he literally is the glue that holds this maze together 😂.
