When a terrorist threatens to bomb the Miss United States pageant, the FBI rushes to find a female agent to go undercover as a contestant. Unfortunately, Gracie is the only female FBI agent who can "look the part" despite her complete lack of refinement and femininity. She prides herself in being "just one of the boys" and is horrified at the idea of becoming a girly girl.

Twenty-five years later, Miss Congeniality still holds up because it knows exactly what it is: a smart, funny showcase for Sandra Bullock’s charisma, supported by a delightful ensemble and Michael Caine’s scene-stealing turn.

Sandra Bullock is my favorite actress and this is one of my all-time favorites! Great acting, chemistry and humor! Michael Caine and Benjamin Bratt work so well together and with her. Two thumbs way, way, way up and a definite must-see. So glad I got to see this again in theaters!

This movie’s tomato score is a mystery to me. It’s a solidly written, acted, and directed film. Is it the greatest movie ever made? No. Is it a very memorable and iconic comedy? Yes! It deserves a score that makes sense.

A Bullock Comedy Classic. Arguably this is her finest hour as a leading lady. It's solidly made all around. The direction isn't bad but could be better. The comedy is good here and gets solid laughs consistently which is the secret suace that helps it make up for a crime plot that is sorely lacking in depth and honestly feels forgotten about at times and undercooked/underdeveloped. The other girls aren't bad but are a bit on the weaker side and kind of blend in save for one or two. While it focuses on the contest, it feels like it forgets about the crime plot at times. But again the comedy, and charm carry it through. I actually like Bullock here here and does a great job. Hudson is really good and I wish he was cast more as police characters more. He seems to have a great track record. The cast is stacked overall and does a great job. Anyone who is a fan of any actors here, 00' comedies, or the director should give this a watch.

Kind of funny but the ending is stupid. The plot is dumb. Mostly silly juvenile jokes. Mostly all on ridiculous things women do that are subjective beauty.
