Great movie for when you're in the mood for bad horror.
Interesting ideas and visuals, executed poorly with bad acting.
There's some neat ideas and great visual concepts, but they are poorly executed; let down by poor acting, low budget, a so-so script, shoddy effects and terrible camera quality. Great in theory, totally missable in practice.
This has some nice visuals and wants to be a bit of a love story, but the bare bones of it is that a guy falls in love with what is essentially a coma patient and steals her from the hospital, which is pretty fucking creepy if HE'S your hero, right?
Watchable, but ultimately you might end up finding it all a bit unsettling.
Was free on Xbox this weekend and ended up being quite good.
quite ok, watchable movie
half star due to the creative death scenes. double screwdrivers
Horror thriller from William Malone (House On Haunted Hill) about a young girl (Cherilyn Wilson) who suffers from a severe medical condition where she can't stay awake. With the help from a boy (Dylan Purcell) who cares deeply about her, sets out to find a cure to her condition which was given to her by her maniac killer father who claims his prey by hypnotizing them into killing those around them and themselves. Though not a gem still a very well crafted indie horror flick that gives the suspense and the gore as well as excellent special effects. Horror vet Jeffrey Combs co-stars.
I watched half an hour of this and saw absolutely nothing of interest. The effects are terrible, the plot drags along, even the music manages to be irritating! This is a complete waste of time. Don't torture yourself.
Yet another movie I watched to catch up on my Combs filmography. Ok the movie was bad, not even fun. Odd guy falls in love with a woman who only wakes up once a day and there's a psycho with hypnotic powers who has claim on her. The acting through most of the movie by the two main characters sucked but the idea of the film was good. The ending part was worth the wait as the bad guy rocked, Combs added substance to his character by going insane, and the musical score Dance of the Knights from Romeo & Juliet was well paired with the puppets. Do yourself a favor and FF to the last 15 min or so.
