Movie Info

Exiled into deep space by the most powerful superheroes on Earth, the Incredible Hulk becomes an unlikely hero after crash landing on a distant planet. Millions of light years from Earth, the Red King rules planet Sakaar with an iron fist. When Hulk arrives on Sakaar, he is sold as a slave and forced to fight as a gladiator. The people of Sakaar need a savior, and as Hulk fights his way through a series of formidable opponents, he forms a powerful bond with four fearsome warriors. Later, along with the help of fellow combatants Miek, Korg, Hiroim, and Elloe, Hulk wages war on the despotic Red King. As the battle intensifies, it begins to appear that Hulk may be Sakaar's destroyer, rather than its savior.

One of the better if not the best Marvel animated film around, Based on the comic of the same name that was based on the film Gladiator, It had a great story that was well told and the action was hard hitting and there was allot of it too, The animation was ok but nothing great, If you have read the comic then this film might disappoint you as they replaced The Silver Surfer with Beta Ray bill which was a surprise and not sure why they would do that and the ending in the comic wasn't a happy ending but they went for one here, I can understand why they did if they had no interest in making a World War Hulk film, So while the ending might not go down well with Hardcore Hulk comic fans they toned it down probably for the kids and we all know that's what Marvel does best which is a shame, But apart from that it's pretty loyal to it's comic and is very entertaining.

It's actually pretty good for an animated Marvel film. DC better watch their backs.

Honestly, I like it more than any of the live action Hulk films.

Based on the bestselling Marvel comic series, Planet Hulk is an epic adventure. Unable to control the Hulk, the Avengers banish him to space where he crash lands on a savage planet where he's forced to compete in gladiatorial combat. It's an impressive and ambitious story that's told rather well, even though it's a bit derivative. The animation style is also quite good, with crisp and colorful art. Additionally, the voice work does an excellent job at giving personality and distinctiveness to the characters. Planet Hulk is an incredibly entertaining animated feature that explores the Hulk as never before.
