Recent college graduate Ryden Malby (Alexis Bledel) has a grand plan: Find a fabulous apartment and land a job at a prestigious publishing house. However, her rival Jessica steals her dream job, and Ryden has to move back in with her weird family while she sorts out her life. A stack of rejection letters grows while she hangs out with her best friend (Zach Gilford) and her neighbor (Rodrigo Santoro), but if she is to gain traction in her life again, Ryden will have to make a new plan.

Don't think this was bad enough to warrant such a low Tomatometer score but not exactly sure why Roger Ebert liked it. The oddest thing is that this is from the same lady who co-directed Shrek and Shark Tale. Female directors need work, I guess, even if they can't apply their animation experience to certain projects the same way men can like with those two Narnia films. Post Grad is just a harmless comedy that has its issues (they straight-up forget J.K. Simmons after his second scene, out-of-place black comedy concerning a dead cat, awkward romantic subplot handling and I feel disappointed by how our heroine literally never speaks to her younger brother) but has a charming lead actor, some funny moments (credit where it's due, this is the first time I've witnessed an animation director utilising PG-13 F-bomb allowance) and a chill vibe. Cheesy? Maybe. Predictable? Sure. But hardly anything offensive. Probably will appeal the most to Gilmore Girls fans.

Very light hearted movie, although likely a result of its poor story line. Very predictable and not overly captivating. A few seemingly unnecessary plot deviations didn’t help either. Wouldn’t recommend watching unless wanting something on in the background.
