The Super Mario movie is one that turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I was one of those people skeptical of Chris Pratt's casting as Mario. It turned out to be forgiveable. The casting worked out, and I can't complain about any of them. Jack Black's song is hilarious and memorable. Spoiler alert: in the movie, thee writer poke fun at Mario and Luigi's accents, breaking the fourth wall, and I'm ok with it. The movie was a perfect blend of nostalgia for those of us who grew up playing the games and fresh for the new generation to enjoy. I loved the various characters, and if they do a sequel, I look forward to seeing more. For anyone who hasn't seen it, stay till after the end because there's an end credit scene. It's equally enjoyable for kids and adults. Definitely worth a watch. I call this a successful movie adaptation of a video game. Well done to everyone involved. 7/10
