Dec 30, 2013Henry Cavill's performance is the best reason to watch this film. The Man of Steel, in a pre-Superman role, shines as an action hero. The film reminded me of movies like Taken and Frantic. It needed a rewrite. Bruce Willis was miscast as Cavill's father. They have no on screen chemistry together. Willis's character wasn't well developed and his backstory needed to be elaborated. I think he did the film only for the paycheck. Cavill is great here. Sigourney Weaver is awesome as the villain in the film. She was a good foil to Cavill. I think they should have casted another actor in Willis's role. The film does have a great car chase at the end of the film. I would say, see it for Henry Cavill and Sigourney Weaver's performances.Sol C Super Reviewer

Mar 16, 2013Want a good look at actor playing the new "Superman"? Then check this out because he(Henry Cavill) is the star, and hopefully he is better at playing the Man of Steel. Here, he is the son of Bruce Willis, and his family gets kidnapped while on vacation in Spain. From there he finds out his dad isn't who he thought he was, and must recover a briefcase and save his family. Cavill has a great look, but he isn't that great of an actor, at least here. Willis isn't in the movie very much, which having more of him would probably have made this better. It's not a very good movie, has a couple good action scenes, and a few good little twists. But overall it just doesn't stay together enough or have much of an impact whatsoever. If you want a light 90 minute action movie, then check it out, because you can do worse. Otherwise, just find something else.Everett J Super Reviewer

Mar 11, 2013Excellent Movie where for once its not all about Bruce Willis, Plenty of action throughout the film, great car chase scene. Veronica Echegui is over the top on beauty and acting, as once Sigourney Weaver was but she is far from that now. If you like spy thrillers you will enjoy this one as its set in Spain. 4 1/2 stars 3-8-13Bruce B Super Reviewer

Nov 16, 2012Cool at first, but quickly becomes simultaneously predictable and confusing. Don't ask me how, but they both happen without cancelling each other out. The ending is one of the dumbest I've ever seen. It acts like it ties everything up with a nice, neat bow, but in actuality, it resolves nothing at all.Stephen S Super Reviewer
