The first Lego Movie is impossible to top so it wasn't unexpected for this one to fall a bit short. Overall it repeats the same brilliant formula of the first movie with a new musical twist.
Boring. It was a struggle to stay involved. Worst of all, not funny. Didn't laugh even once.
With beautiful animation, an over-the-top story, and more enjoyable characters, "The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part" does what it sets out to do, but suffers from an extreme unnecessary shift in tone.
Everything is awesome!!!!
What went wrong for this to happen?
It's not the first by a longshot, but it still has the same heart and the same great sense of humor. Everything remains awesome.
While it isn't quite as much fun as its predecessor, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part fits neatly into an animated all-ages franchise with heart and humor to spare.
It's a decent movie, but definitely not as good as the first one.
Not a bad kids movie, but not a worthy sequel to the first film.
