Pattinson has fun channeling Roddy McDowell’s snarky performance in "Cleopatra." But like that epic flop, "The Odyssey" takes itself too seriously. The film ultimately sinks under its bleakness like a lead balloon.

As a movie it's okay. It's like going to dune and getting star Wars: It's not the odyssey. Characteristically bad dialogue for Nolan movies. Visually okayish.

Felt like Monty Python with how much they ran away. Dialogue, costuming, and acting felt too modern for a Greek epic. A lot of telling instead of showing. Very beautiful show though with great sets and practical effects. Not a great adaptation of the Odyssey when they strip almost all the mythological elements from the historical mythology .

Another banger from Christopher Nolan. Definitely worth watching even if you haven’t read the story. Casting was pretty decent. The sailing scenes are really cool.

I have read the odyssey countless of and got my masters degree in classical studies because I loved the book so much, this movie captures of what Homer was conveying in his poetic words. Nolan did a fabulous job of bringing the story to life and creating a visual for the story

This is hands down Nolan’s best work to date! This movie is everything you expected it to be: loud, spacious, heartbreaking, action-filled, and extremely well written! Everyone nailed their part quite well. The soundtrack was punchy, loud, and bold. The sound and visual effects were top-notch, and most importantly, it didn’t feel like it was 3 hours long at all!
