Billy Halleck (Robert John Burke) is an obese lawyer who accidentally hits a Gypsy with his car after his wife distracts him. Given Halleck's influence in town and a general prejudice against Gypsies, he manages to brush the incident under the rug with some unethical legal help from his associates. However, the victim's father, Tadzu Lempke (Michael Constantine), places a curse on the heavyset man, and he starts to lose weight at an alarming rate, which is followed by other macabre events.

Very disappointed. This is an awful, ugly movie - there are no good characters. The Mafia guy is the closest to a likable character. It's basically a torture and snuff film. The premise of a selfish fat guy losing lots of weight where he can't stop, that was funny for maybe 30 seconds but that's the whole film. And the sick ending of the main guy's wife, daughter eating the pie, what was with that? Our country used to have community standards to prevent #*$&@ like this.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas de terror são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom.

You can’t help but enjoy this dark, funny, and often campy story by Stephen King, which wraps up with a twist you won’t forget.

Thinner is the weakest Stephen King since Maximum Overdrive is really strange and confuse body horror and the special effects looks great and pretty much it.
