09/25/2012 Unlike the usual 3-disc 9-hour treatment WWE usually packages we get 2-disc, and if it works with some people it sure isn't enough for Curt Hennig, hands down one of the greatest wrestlers to ever compete. A very very talented athlete that could adjust to just about any opponent and a genuinely funny man, you just can't escape the feeling that WWE got lazy with this project. Why? The documentary is one of the best of its kind - even with the glaring omissions. We take a good, long look at Mr. Perfect the wrestler and Curt Hennig the man, from his early days in AWA until his untimely death in 2003. You will smile a lot and there's a good chance you'll shed a tear too. Its okay. The first disc is complemented with some of the funniest vignettes i have ever watched, all building up the character of Mr. Perfect. The second disc is 8 matches from all stages of his career and it is such a lazy (again) selection it really makes me wonder about the attention behind this release. Even if it contains one of the best matches ever ( VS Bret "Hitman" Hart, IC Title, Summerslam '91), i will sit here, patiently, and i will wait for an upgrade. You don't have to be a Mr. Perfect fan to watch this. You don't even have to be a wrestling fan to appreciate and enjoy this deeply humane story, The Life And Times Of Mr Perfect See more 12/06/2011 Ive always been a big fan of Curt Hennig. He was probably one of the greatest wrestlers not to hold the world title. He should have. If he had remained in the WWF when Bret Hart had his title run & not gone to WCW I would put money on that he would have been World Champ @ some point...well if his back injury hadn't caught up w/ him. A bitter sweet documentary looking a lot @ his family life to start w/, his run in AWA (which he probably had the most 'wrestling success', his tenure as Mr Perfect in the WWF as one of great (if not the greatest) Intercontinental Champions of all time, to his time in WCW as a member of the NWO & West Texas Redneck (Rap is Crap!!!) & back to the WWE. Sadly Henning died of a cocaine overdose @ 44 which is a crying shame for a man that seemed to have everything. Rightfully now a Hall of Famer because he was pretty damn near perfect See more 02/23/2011 Possibly the greatest wrestler of all time, I'll never forget Mr. Perfect. RIP See more Read all reviews
