While Bellas Artes isn't revelatory, it continues to find dalliance in the petty-bourgeois conflicts that underline the filmography of Duprat-Cohn-Duprat... [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Bellas Artes is television and cartoon. And that's a shame because this cartoon was intended to entertain and it failed. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Although it presents everyday situations and with the potential to, pardon the redundancy, enhance the plots, it gives the impression that they never finish taking the leap. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Although few ideas are repeated, the main problem with Bellas Artes is that it is much less fun, sharp and effective than other previous works by the duo... with the screenwriter Andrés Duprat and the director Martín Bustos. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Christina A @RT37444680 May 24 I'm a retired professor of Political Science and now a student of Visual Arts. I have always been interested in art, but now I'm getting to know more about contemporary art, especially Brazilian contemporary art. I have binged on the two seasons and I do hope there will be a third one. I have read a comment here saying that the series is too "cartoonish". Unfortunately, much of contemporary art is indeed cartoonish. Artists and curators should take this satire seriously. The series has many inside jokes, like references to famous (and not so famous) artists. However, anyone who believes that art appreciation is one of the things that make us human should watch "Bellas Artes" (titled "O Museu", in Brazil). You will learn that you are not the only person thinking that contemporary art can be utterly ridiculous. "Bellas Arts" is shouting "The king has no clothes!" and this can be the start of saving contemporary art from itself. See more Arthur G @RT81963602 11/16/2024 Bellas Artes is another very good product developed by Gaston Duprat and Mariano Cohn. The idiosyncratic humor from Argentina is very much present in this show, and that must be seen as a strong pillar. Bellas Artes is a show that criticises the "identitarism" and, at the same time, the so-called "high culture"; whereas, in second layer, it presents an aging man trying to deal and to fit with the current generation. Sometimes, it pushes a little bit, exaggerating in the narrative; however this does not harm the quality of the show. See more Read all reviews
