When a person zeroes in on a dream car, he or she often goes on an exhaustive search to buy the vehicle. This series follows potential buyers, who are joined by friends or family members as they seek what they consider to be the perfect ride. Each episode features a car hunter who checks out three unique vehicles and takes them for test drives. The potential buyers go through a range of emotions as they try to decide which car is the one they want to take home. Those looking for a vehicle include an empty-nester who wants to recapture his youth, a father-and-son duo hoping to bond over a thrill ride and a retired correctional officer who wants to own a classic convertible.
