When Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) has a vision of being burned at the stake, her sisters break from witchlike tradition in an effort to alter the future. To do this, the Halliwell girls must travel several years forward, where Piper (Holly Marie Combs) learns she is fated to have a daughter by her future husband (and present guardian angel) Leo Wyatt (Brian Krause). But this portent turns sour, as does the future life of third Halliwell girl Prue (Shannen Doherty). As for Phoebe, it turns out that her foretold immolation is the result of a murder and a McCarthylike political witch hunt (with real witches this time!).
