Veronika K 01/17/2023 Tepid. I've read the book and of course, seen the movie with Glenn Close, Michelle, John and Uma. Oh and Keanu too. I loved the movie. I don't love the series. Was hesitant to try this show but once I began the first episode- I was hooked. Right from the start. I love the complexity of the characters & I am Enthralled by the way the story unfolds - bit by bit- with enough ambiguity to keep you guessing about what is real & what is part of the game. The Romance is legit & I am here for it!!! It is easy to get caught up in the scandals, the scheming, the deception, & the debauchery!! But just as easily, you can get lost in the passion & the romance- & the moments of deep devotion & unyielding desire that the couple clearly feel for one another. Basically, … It is entertaining as hell. And fun to watch!! Also want to mention: The acting is soo good!! Truly! The 2 leads are amazing.
