In Travel Channel's "Destination Fear," documentary filmmaker Dakota Laden, his sister, Chelsea, and his best friend, Tanner Wiseman, travel across the country in an RV to spend nights in haunted locations. From asylums to prisons, they explore abandoned buildings using scientific equipment to capture evidence of paranormal activity. At each site, the luck of the draw determines where each one of them will sleep -- alone and separate from each other -- armed with cameras and dread as their only companions. Episodes include a visit to Brushy State Penitentiary, which is rumored to be rife with paranormal activity. At Old South Pittsburg Hospital, Dakota prepares sister Chelsea to confront a specter that attacks only women. In West Virginia, the team visits Sweet Springs Sanitarium, the site of a massacre of Native Americans, where they hear screams, voices and chants. They also revisit St. Albans Sanatorium, even though Chelsea has vowed she would never return to this awful place.

Lisa D @RT61773815 03/12/2023 Love this show! They have investigated a few new unique places, and given a fresh look at more familiar places. This season, it felt like the crew really came together. The no flashlights rule made it even more interesting, although I still think they are nuts! Ha It's amazing to watch how the fans have come together to beg for Season 5. We have become a family that will follow our favorite show to wherever it will end up. If you are a fan of the paranormal, this show is well worth your time. Don't expect overly serious, overly formal investigations. This is more hanging with your best hilarious friends. Highly recommended! See more Kimber C @RT77531352 03/10/2023 Absolutely love this paranormal show. Great locations and great evidence. See more Trevor B @RT33150629 01/14/2023 Destination Fear has went downhill fast and very bad!!! It's always about fake setups. You have a bright light that just goes away perfectly on time??? You can easily see legs walking away if you pay attention closely and a light would move much faster than it did lol!!! You have a musical box going off that isn't anywhere except the gear room??? That's easily just a producer or someone with the company making it go off and putting it back in the box lol!!! You have all this knocking in banging, but yet they don't film much of it at the area its happening. It's easily a producer or someone with the company just knocking on something lol!!! You have walking footsteps in the dark. It's easily a producer or someone with the company just running fast or marching in place lol!!! You have the walkie-talkie getting a perfect voice and lights going off. The producer or someone with the company can easily find a way to control a walkie-talkie, rem pod and more. They can turn lights off with a push of a button around the corner. Some stuff even happens when they aren't near anything which a producer or staff could easily control lol!!! You have music playing from 3 radios. A producer or someone with the company can easily turn those off and on and especially when the team isn't looking it can be turned on since it's not caught of camera lol!!! You have a ghost whistling really good on time lol!!! The final episode has paranormal spirits flipping all of the batteries upside down and breaking a camera??? That's easily a producer doing all of that and it's not even caught on camera, but yet they set a camera up after everything was shown lol!!! This show is completely fake. The history behind thing's are amazing though honestly. I don't feel it should go on anymore though honestly. Locations are decent, but could be much better. Go to different states like North Carolina instead of most of the same states each season. Some of the stuff on the show can be mysterious since you don't always know if it's the team or not, but if you see the same thing everytime it seems very fake. I am a paranormal investigator myself and I know that almost anywhere you go, you will never get a response every single time. That's another problem with the show. Anytime they ask something, they get a response usually right away or something happens when they need it which is super unrealistic. I get they have time to extend clips, but they just do that to make you think nothing happened while the company is actually helping them behind the camera's. The first 2 season's were decent and now it's got worse. Season 3 was ok, but Season 4 is terrible. I relook at everything to see if it's real or not and most of it is fake, but not all. It's very unrealistic for a cannon at a fort to be shooting off non-stop right on time for camera. Very disappointing it has came to this!!! See more Jena C @RT54100397 12/03/2022 Season 4 kept getting darker! Some crazy locations! I would love a season 5 and for the crew to travel overseas more!! 🖤👻🙏🏽 #RenewDestinationFear See more Read all reviews
