    Oof, that was Rotten.

    Meh, it passed the time.

    It’s good – I’d recommend it.

Lovely intentions, but upon deeper inspection, saying little.

I'm now too old for the Time Lord's adventures; a great weariness came upon me as she explained her sonic screwdriver to her charisma-free new pals... But still, I couldn't be more glad that the Doctor is at last a girl.

A Doctor for our age.

As the first in what one hopes will be a long line of female doctors, Whittaker is funny, energetic and full of joy. Whovians should be pleased.

Whittaker is a breath of fresh air: a talented, emotionally engaged actress who brings warmth and humanity to a show that was largely in danger of disappearing up its own black hole.

The fact that this season, the first to star a woman in 55 years, was so interested in how long it takes to effect change -- and how many people have to suffer in the process -- played like a response to the history of the show.

Doctor Who is off to a brilliant start.

In short, my latest attempt to like Doctor Who failed, but it has failed worse in the past, if that's any consolation, and I was quite taken with Carl, the crane driver and his self-help tapes.

While this first adventure for Ryan, Graham, and Yaz is lacking in the fun sci-fi adventure department, the dynamics of the characters work well so far, and the Doctor herself is already on her way to joining the ranks of fantastic Doctors.

Whittaker's Doctor is more cosmic detective than superhero, as you would expect in the best way from the creator of Broadchurch.

This season has been marked by change, mostly for the good, though some to the detriment of the overall package. That said, the show's also gotten back to doing what it does best - but with a new flair.

this show ever since capaldi was the doctor went downhill fast

I've tried numerous times to watch it but it's hard to watch. It just feels so forced and yea she's a good actress but just not who any more... I think it's almost time to retire the series

I am sorry, no attack on Jodi but out of the last, almost 60 years of the show, this last season was some of the WORST writing in Doctor Who! This makes the last season before it was canceled in the 80's seem like a hit series!
  • Nov 11, 2019
Poorly written, recycled plot lines and clumsy political messaging made at the expense of good story telling. An absolute disappointment.
  • Nov 10, 2019
    It's really boring. :(

Sad. Terribly sad. More words? The writing stunk. No way to tell if the acting could have been better when written that bad. Way too PC and contradictory of it's own PC messages. Had no Doctor Who feel to 90% of the episodes.

This brings shame to the other new-who seasons. Chibnall doesn't have any good sense of direction for the show and is focusing on the show being political rather than magical. Plus Jodie didn't research the role at all and it shows. PLUS the characters are so flimsy they could fall down if you blew on them. Their morals, personality, and overall emotions have no depth to them at all. Because there's three companions, you don't know who to focus on so Yas and Ryan disappear while you focus on Graham. What worked well with the 2 companions of Rory and Amy is you were able to connect with Amy first before Rory came along. Season 11 needs to stop being different and start being good.

The writing for this doctor is HORRIBLE!!!!! I think that Jodi Whitaker is a good actress and in some parts I can see the doctors personality in her, however the new writer is the WORST!! The doctor is written as some helpless idiot. It used to be that the doctor almost sought out adventure and danger, now it feel like the doctor has dangerous things happen to her, she never has her tardis and does not come across as the bad ass as the doctor once was. I think it's great that the doctor is a female now, but she has been written as a girl. I think this shows the writers are being sexually bias as they are writing the doctor as a female and not just going off of the personality of the doctor. I understand that yes she is a female, but she seems helpless and stupid and not really the take charge type which is the doctor regardless of gender. Write the doctor as the doctor, stop trying to add all this gender specific and being sensitive to the "times" and everyone's feelings. The doctor has a distinct personality through out all of the actors and this doctor is being DISGRACED with the writing. I almost wish they had just stopped the series with Peter Capaldi rather than go on with this trash writing .

Worst season ever, devastated my favourite show has come to this. Jodie has potential but fell flat on her face with Chibnall's awful writing. Honestly Graham is the only good character.

I had high hopes coming into the 11th series as this show used to be a favorite of mine. Devoid of creativity, originality, or even good acting I am sad to say I think the show is finally dead.
