Every year hundreds of eyewitnesses record alleged encounters with Bigfoot, a legendary cryptid described as being a large, hairy, bipedal apelike creature. More than a third of the sightings come from the Pacific Northwest. In Travel Channel's "Expedition Bigfoot," an elite team of researchers plugs the reported sightings into an advanced data algorithm to narrow its search for the elusive creature to an area in central Oregon. The eight-part series tracks the teams as it treks into the deep woods hoping to find evidence of the cryptid. "Travel Channel has assembled the very best team of experts in Bigfoot lore and science to give us proof of the creature's existence once and for all," said Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel. "The journey is formidable, and the jeopardy is real. Skeptics and believers alike will both agree the trek this team makes is something they have never seen before."

05/09/2022 Another great season of Expedition Bigfoot. I liked how it leaves not just you hanging but the team feels the same way. Came so close to finding something tangible. Cannot wait for season 3. See more 04/19/2022 If I could have given this less than half a star, saying it smells like a rotting animal I would have. I left a review for season 1 which is pretty self-explanatory. Here I wish to warn you that a lot of interesting ideas are scattered around like raindrops, but they are not pursued nor are they even explained very well. There's no question how scripted and fake this program is; they rarely interview witnesses properly but of course I warned about this whole thing when I reviewed the first season. This is the absolute worst of a really horrible genre, a genre that poses as wildlife investigation/research, but in fact is a bunch of scripted crap. I used to watch these shows to laugh at them and relax. Now I just watch QVC. See more 11/28/2021 Each season keeps getting better. Season 3 is the best yet. See more 05/10/2021 Although this season is not done, their time in Kentucky had both good and bad points. Good - they were able to get more footage of a creature on infrared. it's ability to appear and then vanish, and in this case affect the surrounding trees, was very interesting as well. The also obtained more DNA evidence, this time find chimp DNA. The idea that Bigfoot has claws, gets angry, and is well aware of the function of game cams, was also very interesting. The interviews were very good, including the final one before leaving Kentucky which has prompted them to reposition in Washington State. Combine that with the data obtained with the magnetic coil, and the synchronicity of the events that happened with that event, and you have quite a bit of data to add to the overall picture. Bad - The cave. Dr. Mireya Mayor is far more brave than I will ever be, descending into a cave with extremely small openings (leading to large and interesting caves), yet she was not able to find a larger opening which would be required for an animal of that size. Had a large opening been found, which was their consensus, it would have moved the idea forward that they do live in the caves. Overall, I really like the show and all of the people. I think it is one of the best productions on the topic and has contributed greatly to the evidence needed to confirm Bigfoot does exist. If it does, it is one of the most bizarre animals on the planet. See more 04/23/2021 Having not seen season one I still really enjoyed this show way more than I ought to really. Sure it's a little scripted at times, the resupply of equipment a little cheesey but at its core its about some passionate people in some stunning landscape doing something that they love. Really watchable TV. I couldn't care less if they find Bigfoot, the pursuit, the build up, the night thermal stuff is all awesome. Great team involved in it. I really enjoyed the journey so far and would love to see a season 3. See more 04/19/2021 i think it is blatantly obvious that they are no closer to finding a bigfoot than E.T fans are of sighting him walking around central park eating an ice cream which is why they are quite happy enough to humiliate themselves on national tv trying to justify stupid flashing lights and human hairs in the deep dark depths of a 20ft cave. its actually cringe watching them all talking pure bollocks when they know deep down in their deluded mind that there's nothing there. i mean how comes with all the mobile phones about now that not one person can catch a proper glimpse of one instead of coming up with blurry photos that could quite easily be a bear or a obese moose or whatever you call them over there in la la land. I mean these so called professionals who have dedicated their lives and careers trying to find one and yet their no closer than any normal day to day farmer or forest walker who seem to stumble across them on a monthly basis fooling themselves howling at each other across the acres of green land as if they are the only group of head hunters out there that it could'nt possibly be another human whistling and howling back at them. loool. Pure space cadets the morons. ohh well i guess if not reality tv its surely comical. keep up the poor work. See more Read all reviews
