"Family Cook Off" combines family fun with the heat of the kitchen, pitting families against each other in culinary battles. In each episode, host Kim D'Eon takes two families of four and splits them each into teams of two. One team from each family is in charge of creating a main course while the other must make a dessert, and each must incorporate a secret and mandatory ingredient into the dish -- which they have only 20 minutes to make. Judges and Food Network Canada chefs Anthony Sedlak and Trish Magwood rate the dishes on a 40-point scale and decide which family wins the coveted Golden Frying Pan and $1,000 worth of groceries.
