Sep 26, 2020I happened across this show while flipping thru the channels, & watched a couple episodes. This show is terrible, so terrible that I felt compelled to write a review of a show that I know hasn't been in production in over 5 years. It's basically a carbon copy of Flip or Flop; a realtor & his wife, who is a designer, buys a fixer-upper, renovates it, & then flips it. The series shows the couples struggles as they encounter problems w/ the flip & the ultimate transformation of the house. The major difference between Flipping Vegas & Flip or Flop is the personality of the couples... In FoF, Tarek & Christina seem like reasonably nice people; Tarek is a tad aggressive & Christina is glam, & while they often disagree a lot about how the flip should proceed, they talk it out & work together...something that is even more amazing when you consider they ultimately got divorced while the show was ongoing. They each have their own charm, which has helped them launch their own individual shows. How does the couple from FV compare? My god... These two seem like terrible people. The realtor husband, Scott is always annoyed or angry. The couple doesn't work together. Instead, Scott basically tries to impose his will, & his wife, Amie, constantly undermines him by doing things behind his back. Their disagreements seem more mean-spirited... Not surprisingly, Scott has been accused of scamming people w/ his business ventures since the show ended...
