Critic reviews for The Choice 2016
The Choice is both instructive and dispiriting (if not depressing) in reinforcing the negatives associated with the two most publicly disliked candidates ever to run for President of the United States.
Solid reporting, but maybe for another day. Nothing at this point will certainly change anybody's mind.
Their unsparing observations notwithstanding, these two hours (produced and written by Michael Kirk and Mike Wiser) provide a richly detailed, instructive and, not least, humanizing view of the early lives of both these contenders.
More interesting is the portrait of how differently two people, born a little more than a year apart, have represented their generation, navigated their times and defined success.
