Optimistic teacher Will Schuester heads up McKinley High School's glee club -- New Directions -- a place where ambitious and talented students can find strength, acceptance and their voice. As the students find themselves, they also enjoy a respite from the harsh realities of life. Mr. Schuester hopes to help the kids in every way he can, and also dreams of taking the group to nationals. As Schuester and the glee club pursue their goal, they face opposition from a conniving cheerleading coach, Sue Sylvester, who tries to sabotage the group at every turn.

I like seeing Hummel "express himself" with Alexander McQueen's armadillo heels along with the girls in their performance of "Bad Romance." Go to Full Review

Like anyone else, I do find the musical numbers, when they are heartfelt, to show a kind of joy that is missing on television these days. But the show won't survive on that alone. Go to Full Review

The series spent its first 22 episodes redefining the TV musical in the terms of the series' title. Unafraid of emotion, "Glee" at its finest opened us up to joy. Go to Full Review

Or, "the brightest star burns half as long?" That's this show. One day, it's the hottest show on television, and the next its stars are wrapped up in scandal and audiences have moved on. Usually, I ask this question at the end but, have you seen the series? If so, what do you think? Personally, I feel it was the last of a certain type of show, "the 20+ episode season." You know the type. Each episode starts with a conflict or a situation. The characters bounce around, enlisting the help of others, only for the conflict to grow out of hand. Then as the episode finally ends and the characters come up with a logical resolution (usually provided by an older and wiser character) there's typically, a moral lesson to be learned (i.e. don't lie, don't cheat, don't steal, etc.). However, the issue with the show wasn't its content. Instead it suffered from a common issue called, "overstaying it's welcome." Rather than leaving on a high and using the very obvious ending (the Glee team finally won their competition and earned the recognition/respect they fought so hard for), the creators wanted to continue riding the wave of success they were on. Ultimately (and sadly), this left the show feeling stale and hurt what the previous seasons were building up to. See more Klber A @RT03133886 11/18/2023 Depois que focaram na Rachel, acabaram com a série! See more Valeria M @RT79226038 05/21/2023 Questa serie sarà sempre nel mio cuore! See more Read all reviews
