Based on the Letty Dobesh books by Blake Crouch, the seductive thriller "Good Behavior" centers on con artist Letty Raines and her inability -- despite good intentions -- to consistently live a clean life. Fresh out of prison, Letty attempts to reunite with her 10-year-old son and keep in regular contact with her parole officer, whose motives for helping her are questionable. But after she overhears a hit man being hired to kill a man's wife, Letty sets out to derail the job and finds herself on a collision course with the killer, entangling herself in a dangerous and seductive relationship.

Critics Consensus

Emotional manipulation aside, Good Behavior is a legitimately suspenseful and sexy drama.

The setup is bleak, but the show is not. Yes, it involves drugs, murder, and intense emotional pain, but there's something almost screwball about it: Letty and Javier are just two crazy kids who are weirdly perfect for each other. Go to Full Review

Dockery is a problem, I'm sorry to say. She's impressive, but the performance's impressiveness comes from overcoming typecasting and dazzling the viewer with technique, not from an intuitive emotional connection with the character. Go to Full Review

Held up by a problematic central relationship, Good Behavior provides Michelle Dockery ample opportunity to break free from Downton Abbey, but little else. Go to Full Review

Darlings, this one's simply not getting enough attention, as far as we're concerned. Go to Full Review

Once the novelty of seeing Lady Mary so completely dressed down starts to wear off, Good Behavior will have to tighten up its narrative very quickly if it hopes to develop anything resembling Downton-deep devotion in its audience. Go to Full Review

Trust 07/14/2024 Not a single likable character. Interesting plot with poor execution. See more G.E. L 07/07/2024 "Don't dump those bodies - hand me a Tesla!" Never cared one whit for downtowne abbie, but southeastern junkie grifter crashes into exotic conflicted assassin? More, please! See more Joan K 08/01/2023 Well written, well acted, not at all formulaic. Great show. Wish they'd done more than two seasons. See more lilly g 10/31/2022 Incredible show. The characters are certainly broken and there are moments where the continued bad choices leave you feeling very unsettled, but it is never hopeless and never predictable. Even watching this for the second time, I found my jaw dropping as pivotal choices (good and bad) are made and the plot develops in unexpected ways. The love story at the center of this is enough to keep you sucked in and all of the main characters are redeeming enough to keep you rooting for them. Complex, funny, sad, raw, and thoroughly entertaining. See more jeff c @cheroky2 02/20/2022 Dark, but at times humorous....to me, the perfect balance. See more 05/31/2021 Although I can't say that I ever really cared about most of the characters or the dramas involving the lead characters' families, I enjoyed this as a heist show, similar to "Imposters" and many others. I also very much enjoyed the work of some of the supporting actors, Terry Kinney ("Christian") and Ann Dowd ("Rhonda Lashever") in particular. See more Read all reviews
