Critic Reviews for Gotham Season 3
All Critics (9) | Top Critics (1) | Fresh (6) | Rotten (3)
Three seasons in, it still hasn't really found a balance; let's hope that changes.
The returning series kicks off at full throttle.
Harvey and Jim's relationship is one of the keystones of Gotham, and a reason I come back every week.
In short, Gotham is a series that breaks its promises.
Those who've managed to keep up with the decade of continuity shoved into three seasons will likely find a lot to enjoy in this third season.
Gotham Season 3 is the strange union of melodrama, crime thriller, and superhero tale. The returning cast all get a chance to shine, and new characters (such as Jervis Tetch) all add something fun to the show.
With its incredible multitude of twisty, intertwining storylines, intriguing characters, and excellent ensemble, Gotham: The Complete Third Season continues to prove why this is one of the most compelling shows on television.
With its opening episodes, the third season of Gotham creates a darkness that I'm not sure I ever want to escape.
Where the visuals suggest a wild burlesque of the mad and blood-lusting criminals of Gotham, the writing goes for goofy quips and platitudes that keep the show just safe enough to be aggravating.
Audience Reviews for Gotham: Season 3
-
Aug 31, 2020Esta es la mejor adaptación de todas. No se admiten discusiones.
-
Aug 12, 2020Mad Hatter is a blast and the show continues to be a crazy good time.
-
Apr 23, 2020Completely unrealastic show in every way. The main villains stay alive no matter what, especially Penguin who scoffs and kills right infront of police face and they do nothing. Cops can't shoot or wont shoot, bad guys rule all day and night. I wonder how Gotham never ran out of people to kill who arent viallains. I wish they followed their own story instead of being so predictable to who lives or dies.
-
Apr 12, 2020Gotham season three is a A little much for me for me but at the same time it kind of makes fun of it My grade: 7/10
-
Apr 11, 2020You won't be able to stop watching this show.
-
Feb 22, 2020Gotham Season 3 was great with more villains and extensive builds with characters like Selina Kyle ; Edward Nygma ; Jim Gordon ; Oswald Cobblepot ; Alfred! and of course Batman! With some returns of some characters too! Also Hugo Strange! The man who invented Indian Hill and invented some of my favirote characters on Gotham! The Best Season with Jerome!
-
Aug 31, 2019It seems no one dies anymore.
-
Aug 03, 2019It has some really high points, as well as some low ones. Ed and Penguin steal the show (as usual), and although Jerome is only in it briefly, he was a huge highlight. Smile Like You Mean It is the best episode of Gotham to date.
-
Jul 10, 2019how can anyone complain at this season which introduces captain Barnes
-
Apr 19, 2019The story with Mad Hatter is quite solid and it's linked up till the end of the season. The season finale is very epic and the fight between Bruce Wayne and Jerome Valeska is just precious to me.
