If you like drippy heart to hearts between all the characters, interspersed with 30 seconds of action every 15 minutes then you'll love it. Everyone speaks in a sad whisper all the time. Season 3 plot is very dependent on the notion of "Confession," so that almost all the characters are Catholics, in Wales where very few native Welsh are Catholic, about 5%. But let that go for the moment, everything is completely dark throughout. In the last episode the forensic team is in a house, almost completely dark, gathering evidence. Why, other than for mood, don't they turn on the lights! Creating mood is fine but surely there are more reasonable ways to do this without filming in the dark for almost the entire Season 3. I won't start on all the other ways that this series is so very irritatng but please, don't lump it in with "Broadchurch." It is not in any way equal. And for a frivolous last remark.
