Elle T @RT12249704 03/08/2025 I love the American version. So when I learned it was originally a French show I looked see if it were available. At the time was not but recently became available on Hulu with American English dub' sort of. Some of the characters like the female captin are dunbed well. But most of the characters ESPECIALLY Morgane are dubbed ridiculously! Nearly unwatchable. It is clear they are not using dub voice over actors that have knowledge of American English. I can follow a bit of French. I am certain that the HIP writers did not make her a rude bufoon . Her American dub offers zero smart comic relief which Morgane should have. Why does she sound like she from mid west combines with the most obnoxious cartoon 5th grader ? This is a woman of extremely high intelligence. It is unwatchable. I cannot imagine this is the personality of the character as it was written. I jumped to season 2 hoping in time they corrected. They did not. I cannot begin to imagine the dialect they thought they were achieving. Or why they cared so little abput finding a dub actor who understands American English for their most important character. It's insult to the show. The actress who plays Morgane & frankly American's. I have never met an American who speaks like her. She is the worst of all of them. The others are not great. See more Suz L @SuzMorby 09/09/2024 I like the premise of this show but the English dubbing is extremely annoying. I started to watch the French version with English Sub and it was a much better show. The voices of the French actors/actresses have calming voices and works. The script in french is much better too. Morgane doesn’t sound like a 12 year old brat. The voices they chose for the English Dub is horrible, high pitch, the vocal emotion doesn’t translate for the scenes.
