House: Season 2 Photos

Tv Season Info

The second series of House finds Dr. House (Golden Globe winner Hugh Laurie) determined to win back the affections of his ex-wife (Sela Ward), but rather lands in the midst of a deadly medical mystery. His methods of medical research remain as unconventional as ever (among his tactics include breaking and entering), but his team remains loyal, and his patients, with a little luck and a lot of research, remain alive.

Critic Reviews for House Season 2

The premiere shows no symptoms of a sophomore slump, although its addition of a romantic entanglement raises concerns.

House, in its second season, so far varies little from its reliable formula.

Audience Reviews for House: Season 2

  • Nov 06, 2016
More intimate than previous. Highlighting the episode Euphoria due its dramatic loop.

Season 2 of House M.D is even better than the first, due to the excellent character development of people like Foreman. The writing is brilliant as always, and Hugh Laurie never ceases to amaze.

Much of this season's strength comes from Sela Ward's portrayal of Stacy, who is so sharp and likeable that House's affections for her are completely believable. With House preoccupied romantically, Cuddy and Cameron have a chance to start showing more independent character growth. The latter's involves a fairly interesting arc with Foreman, but House's fellows remain so irritating that their screen time is more of a hinderance than anything else. Still, this season makes up for it with plenty of entertainingly unique (sometimes borderline ridiculous) cases. The quality is consistent, and the finale is gleefully indicative of seasons to come.

The second season of House speeds up towards the end, but for the first eighteen or so episodes, there's nothing new here compared to the first season. It's incredibly entertaining, but it's nothing we haven't seen before. The last five episodes are incredibly enthralling, but the majority is just more House (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).
