Critic Reviews for I'm Dying Up Here Season 2
All Critics (3) | Top Critics (2) | Fresh (2) | Rotten (1)
I'm Dying Up Here is stuck on a dead stage, trying out any material it can and failing to pursue the few parts that deserve further exploration
Although building a series around "the tears of a clown" is a well-worn concept, like any good comedy, it's grounded by an undercurrent of truth.
Yes, the plotting feels obvious, so it's a good thing the actors are so good.

Aug 26, 2018Why aren't the critics lavishing praise on the most unexpectedly brilliant piece of Drama in 2018? It's a travesty that this came and went without the fanfare it deserved; a real step up in quality from the first season. A third season, please, Showtime..!
