A trip back in time, placing host Theo Wilson -- the grandson of a Tuskegee Airman with a passion for history -- at the center of some of the world's most impactful events, to deconstruct how they truly unfolded. Through original archival material, expert testimony and dramatic re-creations using CGI technology to place Wilson in the scene, the series features perspectives on some of the most pivotal moments in history. Wilson is a fly on the wall as he breaks down the barrier between the audience and the action to revisit a series of critical historical events, disasters, triumphs and true stories to learn unexpected facts in an engaging, fast-moving, and often unpredictable way.

Robert P @RT42775929 Nov 21 If the goal is to make the viewer feel like they were actually in the thick of things, they should have taken their cues by the That Built brand. You get the reenactments, but without a "narrator" in modern clothing. See more Melanie S @RT51886394 01/21/2025 A different take on events of historical importance. The very engaging host steps the audience through the events as they happened with re-enactments of key moments. Definitely worth a watch and I hope to see more seasons. See more Ian M @RT00627668 07/24/2023 Very knowledgable series. Very enjoyable. Hoping we get a series 2 See more 04/26/2022 Great take on historical events. The host is a great story teller and tells parts of historical events that you probably haven't already heard. Highly recommend for any history fans out there. See more 04/03/2022 I find this is a great new way to tell history.  I find it riveting, informative and corrects beliefs that were once held in specific details of history e.g., The witches of Salam were NOT burned at the stake.  I wish it was longer...maybe two topics in an hour long show, but hey, as the saying goes; "Leave them wanting more".  Definitely worth watching. See more 03/17/2022 Nothing new. same old stories being retold. I don't understand why it's called "I was there" when many where not. "Theo Wilson travels back in time", it's pointless to have someone walk in front of the screen and say a comment or two if they themself were not there on that time and date.
