Tulip Owens is a 13-year-old girl who aspires to become a computer game programmer but finds herself trapped on a train one day and is looking for a way out. She meets a robot called One-One, which consists of two spherical robots containing contrasting personalities that can combine into the shape of a basketball. Together they search the train, meeting a cast of strange characters along the way and hoping to find clues that will help Tulip find her way home.

This series has one of the most truthful, fearless, and heartbreaking representations of nostalgia, of that darned tendency we have to turn mediocre moments in our memories into happy ones... [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

It's whittled down to the absolute bone, mostly just action and important character moments. It can be pretty abrupt and staccato as a result, but it's never boring. Go to Full Review

It's hard to say where Infinity Train may be heading. But you have to imagine that getting there is going to be more than half the fun. Go to Full Review

A relentlessly creative and stylish show that isn't afraid to put big ideas and horror trappings in front of kids. Go to Full Review

Infinity Train is as crazy as Alice and Wonderland and similar whimsical tales. It's giddishly childish and filled with colorful characters, as you'd expect in a high-quality Cartoon Network production. Go to Full Review

james o May 4 the series was inspired by Over the Garden Wall. See more Kevin P 01/11/2025 An incredibly creative and ambitious animated project with so much emotional depth and precision on human relationships and our struggle to change and better ourselves. In particular, our struggle with change, from divorce to death of a loved one. The art direction is incredible and the characters are so iconic with their designs and personalities. The soundtrack is also fantastic with its mysterious and ethereal sci-fi synth vibe. Tulip is a level-headed protagonist and grounds the surrealism with her presence. One-One is adorable and hilarious, with plenty of hidden depth that's slowly revealed as the story goes on. Atticus provides a sense of comforting wisdom to the main group and is voiced wonderfully by Ernie Hudson. The Conductor and the Cat are both great antagonists with smoothly conniving voices and cast a great shadow over the main characters with their presence and control over the train. There's so much mystery and tension with how the train works and who's behind it all (both now, and in the past). The Mirror-Tulip episode is also great and provides do much emotional weight for a character that just appears in a single episode this season (and cleverly setting up Book 2). And there's so many memorable side characters that accompany each train cart, all with their own unique set of funny quirks and creative concepts. Tulip can be admittedly a bit bratty at times, the final fight gets a bit goofy at the end, and the divorce plotline can feel a bit hammered in at times, but everything else is flawless and a testament to how powerful a narrative can be elevated by the medium of animation. See more Jon L @JonLunatic 08/22/2024 Short yet thoughtful and meaningful stories with amazing consistency throughout the entire season. See more Ed @ethan925 07/10/2023 Aaaa! Such a hidden gem! Also much better than season 4 (for some reason I watched out of order). There was actual character development, mystery (why are we on the train and who is one-one's mother), suspense (running away from monsters), actually good antagonists (cat and Abagail). It respects children and deals with heavy subject matters (divorce) that children can handle. Also, the most important part to me is likable characters, and all our protagonists fit the bill. One-one was an actually likeable goofy sidekick and reminded me a lot of the little guy from Portal. Basically, watch this! See more TimeFlies A 01/28/2023 How did I not watch this sooner? This is a hidden gem, among those boring and repetitive kids shows, these days. Not only has it a good storyline and relatable characters with depth, but also an awesome concept. I'm amazed by the train world – really is fueling my creative juices. See more Read all reviews
