Invasion is back with another season and it's packed with more alien action and doozy conversations. Go to Full Review

The core characters we’ve been following will be key to making those in power and the world at large understand: The war is not won, the aliens will make more moves, and sometimes the battlefield isn’t something you can touch. Go to Full Review

Invasion Season 2 is objectively good, and that’s thanks in large part to heavy lifting by Shioli Kutsuna as Mitsuki Yamato. With stumbles that cut its narrative in half, clearly for more seasons that haven’t been greenlit yet... Go to Full Review

It’s baffling how it ever earned a second season, and while it may function adequately as guilty pleasure TV for some, it stands out finally as a show about aliens that never comes close to understanding its humans. Go to Full Review

Invasion shows that there’s been an intentionality to its story. Sure, it was a slow process, and things got pretty weird at times. But at this point, everything does indeed seem to connect. Go to Full Review

billy S @RT89126810 Jun 6 After an INCREDIBLY rubbish first season, I went back to this just to see if it improved. The first two episodes were a bit painful but then it picked up. There were a couple of characters who when interacting with each other I just fast forwarded it, mostly Casper and the girl. They don't say anything that moves the story along, and they say nothing of substance for almost a minute every time. See more Cyrus Z @zylerzee Apr 2 There are so many awful characters in this show it's painful to watch. I don't enjoy spending any time with these people at all. The mother, the soldier, the kids, all of them just awful people who are extremely motivated, but for what reason? We don't know. They're irrational and uncaring. The dialogue is so trite I stopped caring what any of them had to say. I can't believe someone got paid to write this show, and I can't believe someone thought it good enough to actually make. Dreadful. See more George W @Georgeaw2409 Jan 28 My word this show is awful. It’s so slow and pretentious. The visuals are fantastic but the acting is atrocious to the point where I don’t actually know if it’s meant to be subtle or it’s just plain bad. The writing is awful, shoddy and every time you slightly connect to a scene it cuts to another. It’s also, really repetitive repeats the same concept over and over again. Get lost, get attacked, blow up a spaceship, think you’ve won…. Basically, in a nutshell - this is a poor, boring interpretation of Arrival. The best parts of it are the English kids (some great futures in acting there) and the Cole character. The other storylines are tedious and the one about the Iranian family has no purpose in the story at all. Sometimes you feel that the writers were desperate to get their soap writing freak on again, but they were not allowed too. Aquí vuelve a hacerlo. (ENGLISH) "Invasion" is one of those shows that doesn’t rush anything, and that’s exactly why it works. It keeps you in that strange place between calm and panic, where something huge is happening but no one—neither the characters nor you—fully understands it yet. That feeling, that slow burn, is what hooked me from the start. Apple TV has a particular way of handling sci-fi: the sound, the colors, the silences… everything feels measured. Whether you’re watching a quiet scene inside a house or a landscape that looks ready to collapse, there’s always a visual weight pulling you in. Sometimes nothing big happens, yet you stay there, watching, because it somehow feels important. I get why some viewers lose patience with so many characters and parallel threads. I also got lost at first. But once things start clicking, the show becomes much stronger. Suddenly you understand why Aneesha, Trevante, Mitsuki and the others are where they are, and how each one is facing a completely different kind of invasion. That human layer is what makes the series stand out —this isn’t "aliens arrive, humans run." It’s "aliens arrive and everyone is forced to face the mess they were already living in." Season two feels more confident. Not perfect —it still drifts at times— but far more decisive. There are episodes that genuinely make you wonder what you would do in their place, and that’s always a good sign. By the third season, the show has clearly found its rhythm and trimmed what wasn’t working. Sometimes I wanted more action; other times I was grateful for the quieter moments. That mix ends up being part of the show’s charm: you never know if you’re about to see something huge or if you’ll be left sitting with a small, unsettling moment that sticks with you longer than any explosion. It’s not a series for everyone, but if it grabs you… it stays with you. See more Read all reviews
