Lawyer Stuart Collins (Reed Diamond) has a heart attack while arguing with Amy, who has a change of heart towards him when she comes to the hospital and learns that he has no visitors. Amy is overwhelmed by the pressures of work, home and her love life when she suspects a trial lawyer of gold-digging; fears her mother is missing; and accepts a coffee date with Stuart (Reed Diamond). Judge Amy must rule on the fate of conjoined twins and hears the case of a 15-year-old girl who wishes to be emancipated from her parents, so that she can be with her 20-year-old boyfriend. Maxine is on the verge of losing all she holds dear after Vincent elopes to Las Vegas and Sanctuary House workers are caught taking the law into their own hands.
