Only by giving oneself over to the insane can its memorably morbid wonders be properly appreciated. Go to Full Review

The horror anime series is fun and interesting to watch, albeit quite disturbing sometimes. Some of the stories are way better than others, while some leaves you feeling meh. Go to Full Review

This watered-down adaptation suggests Ito’s work should remain on the page, and it loses its integrity and intensity when put on screen. Go to Full Review

I don't recommend people binge the whole thing all at once. Perhaps watch an episode or two. Leave it alone for a while then come back to it. That way I believe it will have a more emotional impact. Go to Full Review

Its improved animation and excellent voice acting make for a great watch whether you’re into Ito’s work or looking to read more of his stories. This is a good one to settle down with and watch as a slow burn. Go to Full Review

Despite quite not measuring up to the quality of the original Ito, this anthology captures the tone well and hooks us from the very beginning. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Helene H @Helene19 Dec 25 Honestly, it's a bit better than the Junji Ito collection in that the episodes are better spaced out, but the problem is, some episodes are well-adapted, and others aren't. See more Due F Nov 11 This anthology delivers imaginative and eerie tales that capture Junji Ito’s unsettling brilliance, though some endings feel incomplete or unresolved. The animation flows smoothly, balancing monochrome and color to enhance the mood. Standout episodes like The Library Vision and Layers of Terror blend mystery and emotion, making the series a haunting yet heartfelt watch for fans of psychological horror. See more Maddy P Jun 5 I absolutely love Junji Ito! See more Shirley C 09/02/2024 It was honestly okay I guess. I had pretty high hopes for this show as I quite enjoyed some of Junji Ito's mangas but this show was honestly disappointing. Things were difficult to follow and the endings of each episode were to0 abrupt to really scare me and these stories are honestly just one of those things that don't need a film adaptation. See more R Z 10/19/2023 I watched 4 episodes then stopped. The first episode (with the family) was especially bad -- no idea why the creators chose that as the first impression of the series. And what's up with the characters literally saying what's happening onscreen? Like in the "4x4 Walls" episode, the little brother says something like, "Okay! I'm making sounds to annoy my brother now!" Like thanks, I have eyes. See more Read all reviews
