Set in late-19th-century Kentucky, this drama deals with the hardships and victories of the Logan family, who raises thoroughbred horses and grows tobacco. Heading the family is patriarch Ned, who has to deal with oldest son Sean, middle child Clay, oldest daughter Alice, youngest daughter Lexy, and "adopted" son Jeremy.

Loraine D @RT02429063 Jul 25 While I really like the actors and the storyline, producers should have made more time to teach the actors more believable horsemanship. That may be one of the reasons for not so many viewers. They look terrible on a horse! They are so slumped over and look like they could fall off. See more Louise C @RT69763679 01/31/2025 I loved this show from the start. Beautiful scenery, gorgeous horses, attractive actors; what more could anyone want? The storyline contains enough drama to keep us interested, but not overwhelmed. It would be nice to see more of this ilk made today, making a change from the 'run-of-the-mill' formulaic, predictable average program on TV. Having watched all 18 episodes now, I have to say what a disappointment it was to have no ending! We were left with a small 'cliff-hanger', but no conclusion.
