Bo is a small-town girl on the run after a disastrous sexual encounter with her boyfriend ends with his death. Bo learns that she is not human, but a succubus, who feeds on the sexual energy of humans. She and her kind are members of the Fae, creatures of legend, who walk among humans and feed off them in different ways. As she searches for the truth about her origins and runs from her inhuman urges, she vows to help those she meets along the way -- human or Fae -- who need to right a wrong.

Critics Consensus

Strong storytelling and intriguing characters help make Lost Girl a better-than-average supernatural/sci-fi series, even if the special effects leave something to be desired.

Is it a "good show"? I'm not sure. It's a pretty good show, though. Go to Full Review

The show has wit, style and an enticing lead in the leather-clad Anna Silk. Go to Full Review

The Toronto-set series has just the right amount of camp. The mythology is intriguing and so are the characters. Go to Full Review

If the show was executed with more wit, originality, or humanity, it might be possible to engage with the characters and make sense of the rampant sexual situations. Go to Full Review

Crystal C @crysonna 12/15/2024 Season 1: "I am a strong and independent woman!"... immediately runs to the first and biggest guy she meets to bail her out of trouble. Rinse. Repeat. Overall the writing is akin to someone who only ever watched Joss Whedon and thought that was all there was to feminism (so far off the mark, it should be a hate crime). The tragedy in all of this, is there some really interesting characters and they completely had no clue what to do with them. It's riddled with trope y corporate gimmicks to try to hook viewership and it should have been left to die. See more Sam M 10/20/2023 Lost girl has poor dialogue, predictable storylines and should actually be lost somewhere. The female lead can barely act, has a monotonous irritating voice and is basically a whore throughout the series. Lost Girl is a disgrace having stolen several ideas for paranormal from Supernatural the series. Not worth the watch. See more BrimstoneDragonPete 10/08/2023 Fantastic series love the characters the story all of it See more 03/31/2021 This is one of the best series I have ever watched. It's DEFINITELY a guilty pleasure watch. While the story may at times seem convoluted and confusing, the series makes up for it with the characters, worldbuilding, and the romance. See more 10/24/2019 This season (and those following) does an amazing job of creating a believable female friendship. I would recommend it to everyone based solely on that. This season is captivating and I couldn't stop watching. See more 11/28/2018 This series is entertaining and does OK at being an adult - if not mature - supernatural TV series.
