Lost Girl: Season 1 (2010)

Critic Consensus: Strong storytelling and intriguing characters help make Lost Girl a better-than-average supernatural/sci-fi series, even if the special effects leave something to be desired.

Tv Season Info

The first series of this Canadian supernatural drama follows Bo (Anna Silk), a seemingly ordinary girl who discovers she's a succubus who feeds on the sexual energy, or "chi," of humans. On the run for years after draining her high-school boyfriend to death, she is contacted by the Fae, who ask her to join either the Light or Dark tribe. She rejects both, and chooses humanity instead, opening a private investigation office with street-smart new friend Kenzi (Ksenia Solo). Bo soon finds herself the object of attraction for Dyson (Kris Holden-Reid), a fellow Fae and detective, and Lauren (Zoie Palmer), a human doctor who helps Bo learn to control her need to feed.

If you're just looking for fun characters exploring a fun - if somewhat derivative - world, then there aren't many better options on the air right now.
