The Robinson family was supposed to set off on a five-year mission to explore a distant planet, but an act of sabotage by the scheming Dr. Zachary Smith -- who managed to get himself trapped aboard the spaceship -- leaves them adrift in space for three years. The Robinsons, pilot Don West, Dr. Smith and their trusty robot move from planet to planet, always searching for a way to return to Earth.

Anthony M. @Tony7777777 Mar 16 There are quite a few good episodes in season 2 Blast off into space wild adventure the ghost planet prisoners of space the Android machine the deadly games of gamma 6 wreck of the robot dream monster the golden man the toymaker rocket to Earth Cave of the Wizards Treasure of the Lost Planet Revolt of the Androids the colonists one of my favorites trip through the robot the Galaxy gift people take life too seriously man enjoy the show it was fun it was entertaining I will admit though the writers really messed with a handful of episodes that they really didn't need to but I give season 2 a perfect five because I love the show I love the characters and the actors that portrayed them they entertain me for many many years and still do See more Dave B @RT61492839 09/16/2022 By episode 2 of the 2nd season, it's abundantly clear that Prof Robinson and Don should have frogmarched that bathturd Doc Smith right out the airlock without a spacesuit, Battlestar Galactica (2003 reboot) style. Smith egregiously gets away with near-murder multiple times and basically does whatever he feels like at any given moment with next to no punishment or consequences -- other than some mild verbal threats, being confined to quarters, and banishment from the camp a couple of times. If this was the 1800s he probably would have been horsewhipped and put in the stocks at the very least by now. In fact I cannot recall any other character that was so blatantly treacherous, spineless, cowardly, craven, bossy, selfish, sneering, arrogant to a fault, etc in any other series that was allowed to live - Smith may very well be unique. He's literally the worst in almost any given situation. Yes, I know he was intentionally overplayed. Jonathan Harris can be credited for acting his way into an entire 3-season series when he was supposed to be killed off earlier, but man you really hate the guy after a while. He's worse than Nog the Ferengi (before he went to Starfleet Academy) on DS9, I watched the series growing up, and on re-watching in 2022 there are only a few standout episodes in S1 like the War of the Robots, featuring the original Robbie from Forbidden Planet. The writing from the mid-60s really doesn't hold up well to modern eyes so far (I've only gotten to S2E2 with the green girl in space) but there are still some memorable episodes in color that I'm still looking forward to seeing again in DVD quality. See more steve d @RT35616104 07/26/2020 It is less serious than season one but almost as good. The comedy really works well with the show. See more Read all reviews
