Clay-mation character Orel Puppington is a young boy who constantly deviates from his Protestant upbringing. Though his parents, school coach and Rev. Putty clearly impart their religious values upon him, Orel always misunderstands and for some reason believes that smoking crack is a good thing, euthanasia is OK, and impregnating women with a sperm-filled pastry bag is actually a moral thing to do.

For the three seasons it was on the air, Moral Orel taught us about extremism, compliance, and made us all take a closer look at our inner selves. Go to Full Review

Ed @ethan925 Jun 25 Dang, that was quite the experience. I really feel bad for all the people involved. I don't feel sad at its conclusion which is surprising, probably just because none of the characters have tragic lives, they're just all in the same garbage situation. I at one point considered only watching the last season but I'm glad I watched the whole thing because it rewards you with references to previous episodes. I also one point considered watching the show in chronological order but glad I didn't do that as well. There's a lot that gets revealed later that only makes sense at that time and we contextualizes the entire series. I was most surprised by the reveal of Clay Puppington's job: that he has so much privilege and still acts the way he does really causes him to lose much sympathy. There's definitely a ton of depth here. See more Read all reviews
